Hello. I recently bought version 0.9.1 and am having some issues installing it
The setup.rar files give me the error message 14 "Unsupported Archive feature: Volumes"
And when I try to extract the zip files on my desktop I receive the message "Windows cannot complete the extraction. The destination file could not be created."
I'm not great with this sort of thing so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Hi, sorry for a late response. There have been issues with extracting files using the default Windows 11 extractor (Windows 10 works just fine). It's best to download 7-zip from https://www.7-zip.org/ (it's free) and use it to extract the files. It should work without problems.
Can you please elaborate? Can you see the files but can't download, you don't see any files, etc.? Screenshots would be appreciated (send them over to support@digitalseductions.com).

In current version, there should be 7 files in total for the full game (unfortunately itch.io only allows 1GB per uploaded file, hence why it must be split into many separate files): "Countess in Crimson 0.8.19 Setup.zip", "Countess in Crimson 0.8.19 Setup.z01", "Countess in Crimson 0.8.19 Setup.z02", "Countess in Crimson 0.8.19 Setup.z03", "Countess in Crimson 0.8.19 Setup.z04", "Countess in Crimson 0.8.19 Setup.z05", "Countess in Crimson 0.8.19 Setup.z06".
Are you able to download those files? If you do, make sure they are in the same folder and right-click on "Countess in Crimson 0.8.19 Setup.zip" to extract the archive. If you are on Windows 11, the built-in Windows extractor does seem to behave weirdly and shows "The same volume cannot be used as both the source and destination" error (I think Windows 10 extractor didn't have this issue). I recommend using a free third-party extractor like 7-zip which should extract the archive without any issues.

It was identified by Microsoft Defender. Due to its size, I can't upload the file for independent testing, but I may be able to run a scan with different software. I'll let you know if I find anything further.
I scanned all of the files, both compressed and uncompressed, with an enterprise grade anti-virus software and they came back clean. Strangely enough, when I re-downloaded them last night on my personal computer (the one that initially flagged the trojan), they didn't set off Microsoft Defender again either. So who knows what happened. Just a false positive, I guess.
You should not get a false positive on a specific malware. Agent Tesla variants are keyloggers and credential stealing malware. And itch does scan files they host. I doubt they would not scan simple zip files.
The game was updated a while ago, so you should have gotten the false positive both times. If it were a false positive.
Unless a freak coincidence resulted in a one time false positive, I would be worried, that the Agent was or is active at your home system and was accidentally detected. A quick read told me, that at least one variant can deinstall itself. I would assume it does this, if some credentials were stolen, so the user does not notice the theft and changes the credentials.
Downloaded all the parts for 8.16. It's telling me the data file is corrupted and I don't know which file it is. It'd be better to throw it up in a Mega folder so that I wouldn't have to go through all this. What a hassle!
hello there, I downloaded 0.8.15 version opened it to the title screen, do a new game, get to the sex option and I can't do anything, I am just stuck there and I can't adavance. is there a fix
Are you seeing other UI elements, like character portraits and text field borders?
There is an engine-level bug that makes certain interface elements not appear after the game starts. This includes dialogue choices, so when you encounter the first choice, you can't proceed beyond it. It seems like that's what you're experiencing.
Bad news is we tried everything we could think of to get rid of this bug and nothing works. It looks like the engine developers are the only people that would be able to fix this.
Good news is this seems to happen mostly on the first time the game is run after being installed. Try again a few times and see if the problem persists. All players that reported this issue so far were able to resolve it simply by restarting the game.
If you've encountered a different bug to what I described, it's best if you send us an email to support@digitalseductions.com with a detailed description of what is happening and we can work on solving it.
All future updates for the base game will be free (this includes a new girl and additional storylines), so if you paid for the game once, you won't have to pay again.
There is an additional paid DLC Pack planned for the future beyond v 1.0, but that's something we're not yet working on.
You can download the demo easier on steam. However, the following is my review of early access of this title:
The early access has one huge flaw that cannot be ignored. The "interactive" mastery cut-scenes are just heavy fast clicking that draws your eyes away from the beautiful 3d/cg renders! You can't even watch the sequences in a playlist from gallery later, it's one at a time (pics and animations) in the current build. It would be far better to make the extra screenshots be earned by hidden objects in the game instead of that clicker nonsense. Not to mention there are no "money shots", it's wonderful cg scenes and the MC "shooting his shot" off camera. Even the first scene with Irina, she says she swallows, doesn't happen. It just cuts to her in a bit of a mess.
I'm torn because this game has some of the best cg animations/models available in an adult title, but those animations are hindered by bad mechanics. I can't currently recommend the game due to this.
I really enjoy the story so far and plan on completing it, but I hope the final release implements changes to allow players to enjoy the beautiful cg that probably took ages to complete.
Regarding the interactive minigame in the Mastery Sex Scenes, we will be changing this in the next update. Non-interactive will be the default setting and additional gallery images will be unlocked based on your Personality Trait scores.
As for viewing the gallery - we don't have a playlist feature, but left/right arrow keys can be used to view next/previous image, so you don't necessarily have to click a single image -> exit -> click another image.
Hi! Just downloaded the newest version. But the left/right keys seem not to work properly in the gallery. Here it always ends in a black screen when I press a left/right arrow key. After that, when clicking on the black screen the game switches to the achievements menu. That seems not to be right.
Anyway, I have to agree to all the opinions of Mr.Unrecognizable. The animations are fantastic but they are a bit short (only one single animation for each scene) and do not really fit into the storyline. The story rushed through the first 2 chapters. I hope the story gets more complex and the chapters get longer from now on.
They are parts of a single zip archive and you need to download all of them to be able to extract the entire archive.
For example, if you want to play the demo, you need to download Countess in Crimson Demo 0.8.11 Setup.zip, Countess in Crimson Demo 0.8.11 Setup.z01, Countess in Crimson Demo 0.8.11 Setup.z02 and Countess in Crimson Demo 0.8.11 Setup.z03
This is because itch.io doesn't allow uploading single files larger than 1GB.

Countess in Crimson 0.8.16 Setup.z01 contains a trojan virus: Trojan:Win32/AgentTesla!ml
I don't know what software reported it, but it's a false positive. The game doesn't contain any viruses or malware.
I encourage you to run a different antivirus scan to verify.

I own the steam version but need to know the keyboard commands. I cannot access main menu with any key on my keyboard or mouse.
